Houston Women's Festival Announces T-shirt and Poster Design Contest

Artists put brushes and canvas to work and we’ll spread your name and display your art all over Houston and places beyond!

Send us your award winning design for the 2007 Houston Women's Festival T-shirt and poster.

The winner of best work of art will receive:

• Name recognition as designing artist via your signature placed on the official HWF t-shirt
• Recognition as designing artist on the HWF web site
• Recognition as designing artist at 2007 festival with on-stage announcement
• 4 festival tickets
• 12 drink tickets
• 4 of your very own printed official HWF shirts designed by YOU!

Contest Rules:

The Athena Art Project sponsors this contest for the purpose of obtaining a t-shirt and poster design to promote the Athena produced, Houston Women’s Festival. Please review the following guidelines for submission:

• Art must be original and previously unpublished and entrant must be the sole owner of all rights relating to the design submission
• Must be sent to info@hwfestival.org, accompanied by the Entrant's name, address, phone number, e-mail address and age
• Format should be EPS format and scaled to size of design for t-shirt. Print size for posters fliers and postcards 11x 17, 8.5 x 11 and 4x6; file should be at 100% size
• Deadline for entry is September 14, 2007. All submissions must be postmarked or emailed to HWF no later than September 14, 2007.

Winning submission becomes the property of The Athena Art Project and Houston Women’s Festival.

Entrant must be the sole owner of all rights relating to the design submission and must be the unpublished, wholly original work of the entrant. By entering the Contest, each Entrant assures Athena Art Project that his or her design submission is wholly original and his or her own creation, and that he or she is sole owner of all rights relating to the submission.

Each Finalist will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and a release which will include, among other things, a representation of the poster submission's originality and a grant to Athena Art Project of the right to post his or her submission on the Houston Women’s Festival web site.

The Grand Prize Winner will be required to sign and return additional documentation, including a license agreement in which he or she will grant Athena Art/HWF a non-exclusive perpetual license to use the work in HWF promotional material and merchandise. If the Entrant chosen as the Grand Prize Winner is found to be ineligible or does not comply with these Official Rules, he or she will be disqualified and the Finalist with the next highest score may be declared Grand Prize Winner.
