3. How does the forum work?

  1. A group of women gather at a nice, convenient, local establishment.
  2. Each participant receives a name tag, a participation number, a list of suggested questions and a match card.
  3. We'll begin with an easy, fun, low-stress introductory activity.
  4. Next participants will be divided into groups based on information provided on the registration form.
  5. You'll be paired with another participant and you'll have seven minutes to converse.
  6. At the end of seven minutes, you'll hear the signal to bring your conversation to a close.
  7. Use your match card to note whether or not you are interested in seeing the person again. This involves simply writing down the person's participant number and checking Yes or No.
  8. You will then be paired with someone new.
  9. After three rounds we'll take a ten-minute break.
  10. After seven rounds, turn in your match card.
  11. General socializing begins, which is open to the entire community.
  12. After the event, the organizers will inform you about mutual matches.
  13. You may then follow up as you wish.

4. Where is the event being held?

Meteor is located at 2306 Genesee, which is at the corner of Genesee and Fairview.  From Montrose Boulevard, go east on Fairview towards downtown for less than half a mile.  Look for the tan brick building.  The Meteor sign is on the side of the building facing Fairview.  The entrance is on Genesee.  There is free parking in a small lot on Fairview, on the street in front and in a lot across the street.  Meteor is an upscale yet comfortable urban video lounge.  Women meet there for happy hour on the first Wednesday of every month.  You may get driving directions from Mapquest.

8. What have past participants said?

"I have to tell you how much fun Saturday night was!  Pat yourselves on the back.  You ladies sure know how to put on an event.  Everyone I have spoken with had a great time and hope you do it again.  Congratulations, job well done!!!!!!!!"  M.T.

"I just wanted to thank you again for putting on last night's event.  I really appreciate all the hard work you put in and the very good job of organizing in general.  I'll look forward to the next one!"  C.W.

"Dear Fabulous Athena Women,
Thank all of y'all for putting together the great evening ~ it was outstanding!  I know it must have been a huge amount of work, but thank you, thank you.   Everyone I talked to at Meteor said they enjoyed it and that it was a great group of women.  One of my friends made some wonderful professional networking contacts and was able to make a significant professional contact on behalf of someone she met.  I think everyone is hoping y'all will do it again, and I know that the women I spoke with are very appreciative that your group is developing more activities in the community.  Again, thank you for the great event.  (And by the way, I heard a lot of comments about how hot the women running the event are!  So if any of y'all are single, you'll have lines next to you next time.)"  A.K.

"Thanks. Ya'll did a good job."  T.C.

"Hello ladies, thanks for organizing a very good initiative, I look forward to the next event. The only suggestion is to do it more often."  Y.
