1:30 p.m. Chris O'Toole - Chris
O'Toole is a talented songwriter and musician who is originally from Galveston,
Texas. The music she creates and plays is inspired by artists ranging from Tracy
Chapman to Van Morrison. As a solo folk rock artist, she has performed in coffee
shops in the Houston and Galveston area. She performs every Thursday night at Club
In Between in Houston.
2:30 p.m. Noria - Noria is a
songwriter/vocalist/guitarist who went solo at age 17 after stints in two Houston
bands. Her "astounding vocals move fluidly from gentle restraint to unchecked
rage and passion," making her "a stunning presence to be
remembered." The daughter of an oil engineer, Noria was born in Bahrain and has
traveled the world, developing an appreciation for various cultures that shines in
"the intelligence and perception of her songwriting" (Man not god
records).

3:30 p.m. Elaine Townsend - Her music has been called "a whirling joyride of
inspiration" (Folio Weekly) that draws from blues, bluegrass and acoustic
folk. She's opened for k.d. lang, the Indigo Girls and Fleetwood Mac. With her
fiery voice and blazing guitar style, she entertains audiences with inventive originals
and unique arrangements of classics. She has released two CDs: "Heartbreaker

4:30 p.m. The Therapy Sisters - This musical comedy duo has been performing together for over 10 years in
clubs, theaters, festivals and conferences across the U.S. Lisa Rogers is a
master guitar player and Maurine McClean adds rhythm on bass. Their witty and
perceptive commentary about modern life is appreciated by audiences of all types, and
their songs have been heard far and wide on Dr. Demento's syndicated radio show.

5:30 p.m. Tret Fure - Tret Fure has
blazed trails in the music business for years. She's a writer, producer, vocalist
and instrumentalist who was one of the first women sound engineers in the country.
For years she produced albums and toured with Cris Williamson. Tret Fure is
"marvelously adroit at examining relationships and capturing the emotion of the
moment" -- The Washington Post. "Fure engineers, harmonizes and
arranges as though these skills were as simple as munching a croissant. The result

6:30 p.m. Terri Hendrix - Hendrix is an
up-and-coming young artist who tours with producer and steel guitar player Lloyd
Maines. Terri's been featured at the Robert Earl Keen Texas Uprising, the Kerville
Folk Festival and the Newport Folk Festival. She has released three CDs:
"Places in Between," "Wilory Farm" and "Two Dollar
Shoes." In the 2000 and 1999 Austin Music Awards, she's received multiple
honors including Best Singer-Songwriter, Best Folk Band, and Best New Band. She's also won

7:45 p.m. Tina (of Tina & the B Sides) - Tina
is a charismatic performer from Minneapolis who plays rock, blues, funk and country.
She was one of two finalists for the role of Janis Joplin in the upcoming Paramount
Pictures film "A Piece of My Heart." With her band, she
released six albums between 1990 and 1998. By performing engaging, two-hour shows
and building comaraderie with loyal fans, the band has sold over 80,000 albums to
date. They were voted Best Pop Group of '93 and '94 in the Minnesota Music
Awards. Tina was signed by Sire Records' Seymour Stein, who had previously signed
k.d. lang, Madonna, Chrissie Hynde and Deborah Harry. Tina's major-label debut,
"Salvation," was released in 1996. Her follow-up album is called,
"It's All Just the Same," also on Sire. Tina has recorded three songs for
major motion picture soundtracks. "With a strapping, swaggering voice
and an Elvis-Presley-drawl impassioned delivery, Tina Schlieske commands attention,"

9 p.m. Tchiya Amet - Her
music combines roots reggae with do-wop, Sade, Native chants, salsa and other
rhythms. She's a keyboard player and songwriter who has studied physics, astronomy,
yoga, and indigenous cultures. Her debut CD is called "Rise Again Truth,"
and songs like "Natural Life," "Four Directions," and "Tribe of
Dinah" call up the ancestors while grooving about the here and now. She lives
in the Texas hill country where she homeschools her two daughters. She toured with
the Bob Marley Festival in '94, '96 and 2000. She has played with the bands Irie
Jane, One Nation, the Presidents and others. "Amet fuses organic music with
peace, love and common sense and drives it all with a lovely voice...While she has a firm
grasp of roots reggae, Amet delves into American Indian rhythms and more...Amet will grab

10:30 p.m. The Red Hot Blues Mamas - With influences like Bonnie Raitt, Marcia Ball, and Janis
Joplin, no wonder this band won a Cool Band Award from GoGirlsMusic.com. Melissa Sigler is a classically trained musician
who plays keyboard and bass. She released her debut album in 1999 titled "Easy
Way Out." Well-known musician Lucille plays electric and acoustic

Linda Waring plays electronic drums, acoustic drums and percussion instruments. She's a
veteran of the music scene, having toured with Delbert McClinton and Miss Molly and the
Passions. In 1982 Linda was inducted into the elite Texas Drum Tornadoes Hall of
Fame. Diamella is a Louisiana band known for carrying on the Gulf Coast tradition of
blues, rock and boogie. |
